Child Safety Standards
Bolta Punjab · last updated 29 October 2026
Bolta Punjab is a messaging and calling service for Android, iPhone and the web, built and run by Apits Network, Lahore, Pakistan. These standards set out how we deal with child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to every account, chat, group, call, status update, channel and community on Bolta Punjab, and they form part of our Terms of Service.
What is not allowed
You must not use Bolta Punjab to do any of the following, in any message, photo, video, voice note, call, status, channel, group name or profile:
- share, request, sell or link to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This means any image, video, audio or text that sexually depicts or exploits a person under 18, including drawn, edited or AI-generated material;
- groom a child: build trust with a child, or with someone who looks after one, in order to abuse or exploit them;
- sextortion: threaten to share sexual images of anyone under 18, or demand them;
- ask a child for sexual images, sexual conversation or a meeting for a sexual purpose;
- sexualise children in any way, including comments, captions, stickers or role-play;
- traffic, advertise or arrange the sexual exploitation of a child;
- help, encourage or teach anyone to do any of the above.
Any one of these breaches our Terms and is grounds for an immediate, permanent ban.
Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bolta Punjab. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, tell us at info@apitsnetwork.com and we will remove the account.
How to report
In the app
- Open the chat, then tap the person's or group's name at the top.
- Choose Report and say that it is about child safety. In the Android app, pick Other concern and describe it.
- A report can include up to ten of that person's recent messages in the chat, so we can see what happened. Please do not forward or screenshot abuse images to anyone, us included.
A message from someone who isn't in your contacts arrives with Report spam and Block buttons. You can also block anyone from their chat info.
Outside the app
Email info@apitsnetwork.com with the subject "Child safety". Give the account's name, number or username and when it happened. Do not attach the images themselves.
What we do
- Child safety reports come first. They are placed at the top of our administrators' queue, ahead of every other kind of report, and we aim to act on each one within 24 hours.
- We remove the material as soon as we know about it. Reported messages are deleted from the chat for everyone in it, and reported channel posts are taken down.
- We ban the accounts involved permanently. A banned account is signed out everywhere and cannot sign in again with its number or email address. Someone who has been banned may not open another account.
- We report it. When we find child sexual abuse material or child exploitation, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). Where it involves Pakistan, we also report it to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), and elsewhere to the relevant police.
- We keep the record. A report keeps its own copy of the reported messages' text and a note of any photo or video in them, so deleting the messages does not destroy the record. Only authorised administrators can see it. It is kept while the case is open, for as long as an investigation needs it, and for 90 days after the case is closed.
- We work with law enforcement and answer valid legal requests about these cases.
Messages on Bolta Punjab are encrypted in transit and kept on our servers. They are not end-to-end encrypted, so the messages attached to a report can be reviewed. Our Privacy Policy explains what we store and who can see it.
Protections in the app
- Message requests: a message from someone who isn't in your contacts is marked as such, with Block, Report, Add contact and Allow, before you reply.
- Silence unknown callers: calls from numbers not in your contacts don't ring.
- Privacy settings: choose who can see your profile photo, About, last seen and status, and who can add you to groups.
- Block and report from any chat, group or contact.
- Group admins can remove members and limit who can send messages.
The law
We comply with the child-safety laws of the countries where Bolta Punjab is offered. This includes Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, which makes producing, possessing or sharing child sexual abuse material a crime. Nothing in these standards limits what the law requires of us.
